Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon culinary-grade matcha powder sifted
  • 1 cup oat milk or milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of sea salt
  • optional toppings: fresh berries sliced banana, coconut flakes, nuts, white chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the sifted matcha powder and 2 tablespoons of the oat milk until smooth and no lumps remain. This creates a matcha paste that distributes evenly.
  2. Add the rolled oats, remaining oat milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt to a mason jar or airtight container.
  3. Pour in the matcha paste and stir vigorously with a spoon for 30 seconds, or seal the jar and shake for 30 seconds to ensure the matcha is evenly distributed throughout.
  4. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. The oats will absorb the liquid and develop a creamy, pudding-like texture.
  5. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If they're too thick, add a splash of milk to reach your desired consistency.
  6. Top with your favorite additions like fresh berries, sliced banana, coconut flakes, or a drizzle of nut butter. Enjoy cold or warmed in the microwave for 60-90 seconds.
